01 / Summary

Local-first by design

FlipRecorder records audio to your Android device. PrintyxLab LLC does not operate a server that receives or stores your audio recordings or the comments you attach to them. The app uses limited third-party platform services for configuration, Google Play purchases, consent management and advertising, as described below.

02 / Local content

Recordings and comments

Audio recordings, filenames and comments are stored in the app's private storage on your device. The app accesses the microphone only after you grant permission and explicitly enable a Flip Recording session. Accelerometer readings are used on-device to detect face-down and face-up orientation and are not sent to PrintyxLab.

When you choose Share or Save, Android sends or copies the selected recording only to the destination you choose. PrintyxLab does not control the privacy practices of that destination.

03 / Service providers

Technical services

• Firebase Remote Config: retrieves operational settings such as free recording limits and feature switches. Requests can involve technical app, device, network and installation metadata needed to provide the service. Audio and comments are not included.
• Google Play Billing: processes Premium purchases and returns purchase status to the app. Payment credentials are handled by Google, not PrintyxLab. The app caches the last known Premium entitlement locally for offline use.
• Google Mobile Ads: the Free tier may display banner and interstitial ads. Google and its advertising partners may process technical information such as IP address, app and device identifiers, advertising identifiers where available, approximate location, ad interactions and diagnostic data to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and, when permitted by your choices, personalize advertising. Audio recordings and comments are not provided to the advertising service. Premium users do not receive ads.
• Google User Messaging Platform: where required, FlipRecorder requests your advertising consent choices before loading ads. The app requests ads only when Google's consent SDK reports that ad requests are permitted. A Privacy choices control is available when Google requires it so you can review or change your selection.

These Google services are governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can also review how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

04 / Sharing

No sale of recordings or comments

PrintyxLab does not sell your recordings or comments. Technical and advertising data may be processed by Google and eligible advertising partners to provide the services described above, subject to your consent choices and applicable law. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law.

05 / Retention and security

You control local retention

Recordings remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Uninstalling normally removes the app's private files. PrintyxLab does not include FlipRecorder recordings or comments in Android backup. No system can guarantee absolute security, so keep your device protected and make user-controlled copies of important recordings.

06 / Your choices

Permissions and control

You may deny microphone or notification permissions, disable Flip Recording at any time, delete individual recordings and comments, or uninstall the app. Denying microphone access prevents recording. You can manage Google Play purchase information through your Google account. Where shown, use Privacy choices in FlipRecorder to review or change advertising consent. Residents of applicable US states may also use Privacy choices to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for advertising purposes. You can also manage or reset the Android advertising identifier and related ad privacy controls in your device settings.

07 / Children

General-audience utility

FlipRecorder is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect children's audio or personal information through a PrintyxLab backend.

08 / Changes

Policy updates

We may update this policy when the app, applicable law or service providers change. The effective date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate in-app or store-listing notice when required.
